Katrina is a highly experienced and respected strategic media adviser, who has provided advice to some of the country’s key executives and organisations on some of the most important public debates.
She has advised the most senior levels of the Australian Defence Force, oil industry, scientific community and the health sector, to name a few.
With a strong background in electronic media, Katrina started her journalistic career 25 years ago with ABC radio in Melbourne, where she held positions such as senior news and current affairs reporter, chief of staff and chief sub-editor.
She was the ABC’s National Financial Correspondent reporting for national news as well as the AM and PM programmes, and chief Victorian political correspondent.
Katrina then joined ABC television as a presenter and reporter for The Investigators.
Katrina was then media adviser and strategist for some of Victoria’s leading legal and accounting firms, the Victorian Education Department, a range of publicly-listed companies and was media adviser to the Northern Aboriginal Legal Aid Service during the landmark Stolen Generations litigation.
Katrina returned to the finance sector as National Public Affairs Manager for the Financial Planning Association (FPA) before joining Media Manoeuvres.
Since 2000 Katrina has been a valuable member of the Media Manoeuvres training and issues/crisis management team. She has trained many of Australia’s executives from the most senior levels through to frontline personnel who need to face the media. She covers all types of media encounters, but particularly the pressured and reputational risk management interviews from imminent or current issues/crises.
