Level 1 – Senate Estimates Awareness
This introduction to the Senate Estimates process provides an overview for agency representatives of a Senate Estimates Committee Hearing, who is involved and understanding the preparation and protocols involved.. This course is designed for junior to middle management to gain a solid grounding in understanding the process and skills required when called to a hearing.
Level 2 – Senate Estimates Performance Skills
The Level 2 course is aimed at middle to senior management including SES representatives who will be required to answer questions at a hearing. This course will be tailored to the needs of the trainees, taking into account issues that are relevant to them and their agencies’ needs. These are highly interactive, intensive session with a limited number of trainees to focus on building performance skills.

Senate Estimates theory
- Performance skills for answering questions
- Protocols
- Delivery and impression
- Simulations/role plays
- Comprehensive playback, trainer review and analysis
- Individual written reports including a DVD of performances
